Guild Wars 2 Tournament to Take Place in PAX East 2015, PvP Events Will Continue Till Jan 15

Guild Wars 2 is a popular fantasy MMORPG. Those who consider themselves to be expert in this game have been provided the chance to participate in a PvP tournament at PAX East in 2015. In the upcoming PAX East 2015, the Guild Wars 2 World Tournament Championship will take place. The winners of this tournament will take home a decent prize pool of 50,000 dollars. It will be held on 7th March 2015 at the convention in Boston, Massachusetts.

Players from several countries can fight against each other, but they will have to compete and win in the earlier qualifiers in order to participate in this tournament. You need to be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of US, Canada, Mexico or Europe in order to participate. A little perk will be provided to players who finally make it to the championship. ArenaNet will pay for the team’s airfare, their hotel expenses as well as a per diem.

Guild Wars 2 was developed by ArenaNet and published by NCsoft. It is set in the fantasy world of Tyria. In this title, players will witness the re-emergence of Destiny’s Edge, a guild that is dedicated to fighting the Elder Dragons. The Elder Dragons are a Lovecraftian species that have taken control over Tyria since the days of the original Guild Wars.

These Elder Dragons have now woken up and are wreaking havoc all across Tyria while corrupting its inhabitants at the same time. The advancement in time since the historical Guild Wars has been indicated through changes in clothing, armor, in-game technology, culture along with a unified common language for all.

In Guild Wars 2, players can make a character from eight professions and five different races. The races include humans, charr, sylvari and asura among others. The race and the profession of the players are used to determine the skills that they have access to. The original game had a level cap of 20 but Guild Wars 2 has a level cap of 80.

The PvE system features a level scaling scheme that lowers the player stats and levels in order to reflect the levels of their enemies, facilitating the maintenance of a global level of difficulty. Guild Wars 2 is available for the PC and is currently having its Wintersday celebration. Players should be geared up as Guild Wars 2 is calling fighters for an epic PvP conflict to take place over the next month.

The two PvP events have already started and will continue till January 13th. The WvW Sneak Attack event is where the fun all begins. Some of the conventional rules will be changed for this setting. It will be harder to see who is attacking what while providing a bonus to experience and rewards earned.
