Albion had potential to maximize these aspects, by introducing new skill lines for farming (so that a player could actually play 100% on his farming plots, pref. in the open world and not on a player island) and make the crafting and gathering experience much more potent.

What they actually did, was introducing the LP system, which skyrocketed alt characters in beta 1, as now you can pretty much play alt-ion Online + they never touched farming, crafting or gathering in a meaningful/good way.
Instead they set farming timers back, so that a player does NOT have to check often = making it a smartphone activity. They put a reforger NPC into beta1, which completely crushed the other main prupose of a crafter: create quality gear. So players began using the npc, to get every single piece of equipment to at least epic quality. Last alpha, these qualities were highly sought after on the market and crafters would cheer for any luckily crafted, good quality item. All gone. (even though they intend to remove that npc, the alt economy still ruins this particular role)

So the whole economy is now completely fucked up; everyone uses alts, funnels LP and PvP is the only endgame. SI olfficially commented, that they do not see a problem in these aspects (although a lot of feedback came from the community) + they rather want to create a pvp playground, with some side activites (gathering, crafting and farming).

ok, I see your point. People should be able to efficiently make a production chain with only one character. And even if not, relying on others to gather what is needed to process to another character, which would supply you as the manufacturer. Now one person can control the whole supply chain, using multiple characters powered by L.P. It doesn’t seem like the problem lies in people being able to eventually control the whole supply chain (by taking time ad effort to master these), but rather just making multiple characters and sitting back and letting time take care of the once “hard work and effort”. Am I understanding right?

WOW. Talk about disrespecting someone who has spent a ton of time sticking around trying to improve the game. Not to mention the majority of your community feedback that has a problem with this cash grab premium LP alt trash you’re trying to shove down our throats. Sorry if I’m coming off strong, but seriously surprised you would say something that shitty to Arch out of all people.

And you were 100% right on that statement, there is no difference between an alt and a player doing something, that’s why you have people throwing premium on alts and doing all the roles instead of relying on each other like a true sandbox. The everyone matters trailer is a joke at this point.

Crafting/Gathering/Farming are all secondary chores done by alts rather than players who would gladly take up the roles and be valued by the community like any good sandbox does, but they need to be treated as roles and expanded on rather than boring chores for alts. Stop trying to emulate EvE online, your game is nothing like it, and will never be anything like it, you’re ruining something that could be unique and its own by trying to copy a formula that doesn’t fit into what you’ve built.

The re-roller has actually been fixed in this beta with the adjusted silver costs that pretty much stops most of the re-rolling though I also blame it on the fact that anything that is under epic is very underwhelming when it comes to quality. For example capes which add CC resist which increases a tad bit due to quality level. Well if you are in gear already that gives decent CC then due to diminishing returns on the CC resist, most of the times you will not gain any effect from the cape unless it is legendary which means if you spend more money on a cap because it is masterpiece or even epic then you have wasted your money.
