MMOHEROS : Make Rise of the Tomb Raider look its best with our optimization guide

Rise Of The Tomb Raider 3

Rise of the Tomb Raider is here. Looking to get the most out of the game on your hardware? PC Gamer’s friends at Maximum PC has got you covered with the optimization guide aimed squarely at three different builds: budget, midrange, and high-end.

Lara pushes graphics boundaries even harder this time around, with stiffer hardware requirements than the last. More details, more effects, more of everything. We go through all the available settings in the game, and then some: bloom, tessellation, vingette blur, motion blur, Purehair, and the rest are are covered in detail and benched across a swath of hardware components.

AMD’s latest Crimson 16.1 driver for Radeon cards fully supports Rise of the Tomb Raider, but a new driver with optimizations for the game is coming out sometime next week.

NVIDIA recently released Game Ready 261.75 WHQL drivers to optimize specifically for Rise of the Tomb Raider. It also happens to include GeForce GTX GPU support for external Thunderbolt 3-based graphics enclosures.
